Motherhood looks different for every woman, but the strength, patience, and love it requires are something many mothers share. Hi my name is Benedicta, and I have been working with Global Mamas for the past 15 years. I joined Global Mamas after hearing about a job opportunity through a friend. His wife was working here at the time, and when I heard there was a vacancy, I applied and was selected. I started as a bookkeeper at our former Ashiaman location.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work in different roles. I moved from being a bookkeeper to a production assistant in Cape Coast, then became a production manager, and today, I work as the Operations Manager while also handling finance for the Cape Coast location. In my current role, I work closely with the finance team. I prepare invoices after shipments, make sure production across all locations runs smoothly, and coordinate with production managers to make sure everything is on track.

My journey at Global Mamas has taught me a lot. I have gained confidence in every role I have taken on, and I am very grateful for the opportunities I have been given.

I am also a mother, and to me, being a mother means joy. My favorite part of being a mother is seeing my children happy. Of course, there are challenges. Sometimes I am not always able to be there when my children need me, but I am grateful for the support I have from my husband. He steps in when needed, and in the end, everything works out.

Motherhood has taught me to be very patient, and this has really helped me in my work. I work with many women every day, and patience is very important in what I do. At the same time, my work has taught me to be time-conscious, which helps me balance both my responsibilities at work and at home. One of the things that makes me most proud is when we have a successful shipment to the US and the EU. It shows that all my hard work has paid off.

I want to be emulated by my children as a prayerful, kind, and hardworking mother who can multitask and manage her time well. For me, Mother’s Day is a reminder that all the sacrifices I make for my children are worth it. can
